Volunteering

The Mane Event Equine Therapy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing joy and laughter to others.

Our facility is only one of 11 places in Forsyth County, GA that provide judge-sanctioned community service.

We welcome volunteers who need various types of skill sets. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old and if under 18 must have an adult with them at all times.

Example Positions

  1. Feeding the Animals: Help ensure our animals receive their daily feedings. This includes measuring and distributing food, and providing water to keep them happy and healthy.
  2. Cleaning Stalls and Pens: Assist in maintaining clean and comfortable living spaces for our animals by cleaning stalls, pens, and enclosures. This includes removing waste and replacing bedding.
  3. Grooming and Brushing: Give our animals some extra love by grooming and brushing them. This not only keeps them clean but also creates a bond between volunteers and the animals.
  4. General Maintenance: Help with farm maintenance tasks such as repairing fences, mending equipment, and maintaining the grounds. No prior experience required; we'll provide guidance.
  5. Assisting with Events: Assist during special events and educational programs held at the farm. This could involve guiding visitors, helping with demonstrations, or event setup.
  6. Landscaping and Garden Care: Contribute to maintaining our farm's landscape and gardens. Planting, weeding, and landscaping tasks are essential for creating a welcoming environment.
  7. Administrative Support: If you have organizational skills, help with administrative tasks like data entry, record-keeping, and managing volunteer schedules.
  8. Education and Outreach: Assist with educational programs and outreach efforts by sharing information about our mission and the importance of animal care and farm life.
  9. Painting and Repairs: Help spruce up our facilities with painting projects and minor repairs. No prior painting experience necessary; we'll provide supplies and guidance.
  10. Companionship: Spend time with our animals, offering them companionship and affection. This is not only enjoyable for the animals but also therapeutic for volunteers.
  11. Photographer: Capture pictures of the team before and after each event for social media. Volunteer photographers will also be responsible for securing written permission.
